Earlier this month, our Ergobaby "Elves" were thrilled to be a part of Santa’s Secret Workshop presented by Bill Horn and Scout Masterson. We got to mingle with fans and all for a good cause! In the giving spirit of the holidays, the event benefited L.A. Family Housing, whose mission is to help families transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services.

While we don't normally post International blogs, we wanted to share this post with you as the photography is stunning and the story is sweet. This family in Australia speaks about their travels and the Ergobaby...we especially love her term "boundless parenting," as that seems to capture what Ergobaby is all about...happy parents with their children, knowing no bounds. Be sure to click through to the full post to see the rest of the lovely photos.

"Today though I wanted to talk to you about the freedom of babywearing – boundless parenting as I like to think of it.
This was particularly highlighted to me as we traveled in the Philippines earlier this year. As we were trekking down a steep staircase

Let's all Hug Everywhere! The Ergobaby carrier keeps your baby close, while leaving you free to move about your busy day. The ergonomic design is so comfortable, you can wear it longer. I am a childbirth educator. I am a doula. I am a babywearing, make that toddlerwearing, mama of a 3 ½ year old little boy...
Since I began working in the birth field in 2004, I have theoretically known and talked to many about the benefits of babywearing. I love the idea that keeping a baby close and snug in a sling or carrier can actually help the baby's growth, benefit the breastfeeding relationship, and calm the baby all at once. There are many, many ways in which physical human connection benefits babies and parents, and babywearing is one way that we can keep that physical connection close while we go about our daily lives. Because of the way humans have evolved, we birth our babies when they are physically helpless, whereas other species' babies are more adept at body control very quickly after birth. It takes human babies nine months gestation in utero and another nine months to a year “gestation”

Last September, my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world. Being a parent, I wanted to give him the best possible start in life. I had done all kinds of research – reading articles, books, and blogs. I talked to parents, professors, and fellow chiropractors. I foolishly felt somewhat prepared for this whole parenting thing. Being a chiropractor, I knew the benefits of “holistic parenting” with our child. Finding ourselves in the all-natural parenting world, babywearing was something that my wife and I both enthusiastically supported. We both understood the benefits of babywearing (including benefits to our child’s structural, physiological, and neurological development) over carrying our son in an infant car seat or pushing him in a stroller all the time.[i],[ii],[iii] With that in mind, we decided to make babywearing a large part of our parenting style.
The more we read and thought about it, the more we realized the importance of me, as the father, wearing our son.
